RetroBat is a free and open-source software that basically allows you to automatically configure the EmulationStation frontend , allowing you to directly download RetroArch or any other independent emulator you want. Everything you need to play any video game on any console is already here. This way, you won’t have to search for emulators, BIOSes, or other programs, and you can focus on what’s important: playing.

A very easy program to configure

To start using RetroBat, you’ll first need to install it. Choose a hard drive with plenty of free space, as not only does the program itself take up just over 4 GB, but once you start downloading emulators and ROMs, this size will increase significantly. Therefore, it’s best to complete the installation on an SSD with at least 100 GB of free space. Download emulators with one click

As soon as you open RetroBat, you’ll see a nice menu, allowing you to choose between Emulators, Windows games, PC ports, Arcade games, and more. Within the Emulators section, which is undoubtedly the most interesting, you’ll find a selection of some of the best free emulators for every console in history. From here, with a single click, you can download emulators for PlayStation 1, 2, 3, and 4; as well as emulators for Nintendo Switch or Game Boy Advance, and even emulators for Jaguar or Sega Saturn. Configure each emulator individually

As a frontend, RetroBat will allow you to download, install, and launch all emulators, but it won’t allow you to configure them. You’ll have to configure each emulator independently, from its own interface. Fortunately, this is fairly straightforward in most cases. Similarly, this program won’t allow you to directly download any ROMs. You’ll have to dump or download your own ROMs. It’s best, in any case, to store them in the same directory as the emulator.
